Hello, and welcome to my place on the net. My name is Dude McLean and I have been in the music business for over 35 years. I am a music publisher and a record producer (see Credits).
After a lot of prodding (read, "kicking") from friends, songwriters, artists, producers, and even a few enemies, I have come to realize the importance of having a real and credible music business consultant available to the creative community:
...one who has been a music publisher and has run publishing companies from the street to the high-rise,
...one who is greatly needed in today's rapidly changing music scene.
Until recently, I have only been available to those that already knew me or were referred by someone who did.
First and foremost, the meat of the music business is the "song .” You cannot have a song without a songwriter. Working with songwriters and evaluating their material is what I do, giving positive support to the writer through meaningful and honest critiques of the work. No punches are pulled. I will not insult you or make fun of you.

My years of first-hand experience pitching songs and getting songs recorded is an invaluable tool from which the songwriter can draw.
